Eduard Buk Ulreich Archive,
Website Design and Development
Studio 2108 is proud to announce the official launch of the Eduard Buk Ulreich Archive. This new digital destination serves as the definitive comprehensive archive and virtual gallery for the life and work of the late Eduard Buk Ulreich (1889–1966), a prolific American artist whose influence spanned the WPA era, Art Deco movement, and Modernist illustration.
When tasked with bringing Ulreich’s vast portfolio to the digital age, Studio 2108 focused on a philosophy of “design through restraint.” Given the vibrant colors, intricate textures, and historical weight of Ulreich’s murals and illustrations, our team prioritized a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The goal was to ensure the website acted as a silent stage, allowing the artwork’s bold Southwestern motifs and mid-century modern lines to remain the focal point without digital distraction.
Studio 2108 has provided the Archive with a platform that is as easy to navigate as it is beautiful to look at. The responsive design ensures that the “Cowboy-Painter’s” legacy is accessible to a global audience across all devices, preserving his contribution to the American narrative for generations to come.
