We recently finished up designing the printed materials for the Lafayette Square Home & Garden Tour. This is always a fun project for us, being both residents, consumers, and employees of Lafayette Square. Between the rich history of Lafayette Square, its “painted ladies” Victorian-style homes, and the 30-acre park, Lafayette Square is one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in town.

The Lafayette Square Park House, one of the oldest in St. Louis, is celebrating its 150th anniversary, so we decided to feature the Park House as the focus of our designs. With a beautiful blue sky background, the Park House photography combines with a French-inspired Fleur-de-lis overlay to create a tidy and crisp layout. This minimalist design, paired with the vibrant spring colors, is sure to catch your eye in store windows and on community boards.

The tour will visit twelve stunning homes and two additional gardens. Accompanying the tour, there will be an antique fair, complimentary carriage rides, a vintage baseball festival, and a Saturday evening concert. Many local businesses will be offering treats, discounts, and specials, as well. You can buy tickets here.

We love getting print projects! It’s a different kind of challenge since so many of our clients are based on the world wide web. The design started with two posters sizes – that design later influenced the tickets, advertisements, and a program booklet cover.

Let’s hope we have a beautiful weekend to tour some exquisite and historic homes and be sure to reach out to Studio 2108 for all of your print project needs!
