Eduard Buk Ulreich Archive,
Website Design and Development

Studio 2108 is honored to announce the debut of the Eduard Buk Ulreich Archive, an expansive new online gallery dedicated to the enduring legacy of one of America’s most versatile Modernists. Spanning the artist’s prolific career from 1889 to 1966, this definitive digital resource chronicles Ulreich’s significant impact on the Art Deco movement, WPA-era public works, and the evolution of American illustration.

Faced with the challenge of translating Ulreich’s massive physical portfolio into a digital experience, Studio 2108 adopted a strategy of “intentional minimalism.” To compete with the rich textures and vivid palettes found in Ulreich’s famous murals and Southwestern-inspired paintings would be a disservice to the art itself. Instead, our design team crafted a sophisticated, “invisible” interface that acts as a neutral backdrop. This clean approach ensures that every bold line and mid-century motif takes center stage, free from visual clutter.

The resulting platform is as intuitive as it is aesthetically refined. By prioritizing a seamless, responsive user experience, Studio 2108 has ensured that the “Cowboy-Painter’s” historical contributions are now preserved and discoverable on any device. This project represents our commitment to keeping American art history alive, making Ulreich’s storied life and work accessible to scholars and admirers around the world for years to come.
