The next 2 pictures are of Julie and I priming the rebuilt cornice detail of the roof. In order to save lots of $$$ we volunteered to prime and paint. Keep in mind that we are standing on 2 feet wide planks on scaffolding about 40 feet off of the ground.

After several months of painting outside (when the weather permitted) 3 of the 4 sides of the roof are complete. Today the roofers are moving the scaffolding from the east side to the west side of the house. 3/24/99

A close up of the cornice brackets that we have been painting (over 80 brackets on the house). Next time we will hire someone to paint them for us as it took forever to piant. 5/99
